Meet Our 2021 Ninja Indies Music Awards Jury Members!
The 2021 Ninja Indies Music Awards will be held Dec. 8, 2021 at Shibuya Milky Way (http://www.shibuyamilkyway.com/new/). The show will have trophies for Best band, lifetime Achievement Award and best music videos.
Music Video categories are:
Best Rock video
Best Punk/Garage video
Best Hip Hop video
Best Pop music video
Best Electronica video
Best Blues video
Best other category
And there is a Lifetime Achievement Award (Japanese band only). The show will be hosted by Mike Rogers and Let's Go's Coco!

HEAD OF JURY: Josie Cotton (ROCK GODDESS)
Josie Cotton is an American singer and songwriter best known for the hits “Johnny Are You Queer,” “See the New Hong Kong,” “Jimmy Loves Marianne” and “He Could Be the One,” which she performed in the film Valley Girl.
Cotton is the founder of Kitten Robot Records and has continued to support the underground music scene in Los Angeles where her career began. She’s currently re-releasing her entire catalogue on Kitten Robot Records as well as signing new artists, with a new Josie Cotton album slated for a 2021 release.
Elliot Grove is a Canadian-born film producer who founded both the Raindance Film Festival in 1993 and the British Independent Film Awards in 1998.
Pianistar Hiroshi is a world famous Japanese pianist, composer, and arranger. He has a special skill that allows him to play different songs at the same time with his right and left hands.
Founder of BENTEN Label, an indie label specializing in women. She is the producer of SXSW's Japanese artist showcase, Japan Nite. She has introduced more than 200 artists to the world so far. She is also the driving force behind the band as well as the JAPAN IT startup whirlwind at SXSW in recent years.
Ankei Yanagisawa is a Japanese businessman. Founder and CEO of F@N Communications, Inc. and he makes music videos!
JURIST: Takao Tanaka (HEAD OF SHIBUYA, MILKY WAY)
Takao Tanaka has been Booking Manager at Shibuya Milky Way since 2009. He also manages several bands. He was instrumental for having Milky Way in the 2018 hit movie: "Ghostroads - A Japanese Rock & Roll Ghost Story."

He’s also a gaming, anime, manga, and music critic, and has welcomed many musicians, game developers, and voice actors onto his interview program One-On-One.
